The following monthly markets are just some of the many that take place in the local area.
1st Sunday each month (Sept to May) - 8am to 1pm
The Black Head Bazaar is operated by the Hallidays Point Tidy Towns Committee, with all the funds raised directed into new amenities, equipment, etc., for the local community.
The Bazaar is held on the first Sunday each month in the park beside the sea at Hallidays Point, which is midway between Forster and Taree. The crew of six wear distinctive caps although one is recognised by a big red hat!
It is open from 8am -1pm from September to May, as winter by the sea is not always hospitable and the committee spend this time on local works, park regeneration, etc.
There are 130+ stalls offering everything imaginable. If you are looking for gifts, home made, hand made, home grown, collectible, usable or just plain fascinating, you'll find it at the Bazaar!
Local crafts, especially jewellery, leadlight and woodwork, are very popular and these markets are famous along the coast for the huge variety of quality plants available and for nurserymen who are only too pleased to offer some great helpful advice.
They are now developing the food aspect with gourmet "taste tempters" coming forward to promote their products.
Third Sunday each month
The Krambach Markets are held on the third Sunday of every month in the School of Arts Hall on The Bucket Way, Krambach.
The Krambach Markets feature local stallholders selling country crafts, preserves, produce, plants, bric a brac, chocolates, lavender, cakes, woodwork, handmade soap, gingerbread, silk painting and much more.
Come early for delicious morning teas. New stallholders are always welcome.
4th Saturday each month
This is a popular market located harbour side near the bridge and has the added advantage of being sited from the main street in Tuncurry.
This is totally open air with use of the under cover Podium for entertainment. Many of the stall holders come from the local 'North Coast Region' and sell a diverse range of products, from handmade wooden toys to handmade organic skincare.
A good variety of clothing, lots of plants, plenty to suit all tastes. Also available at the market is face painting and the famous Coastal Patrol BBQ
Last Saturday each month - 8am to Midday
The Nabiac Farmers Market is held on the last Saturday of the month, at the Nabiac Showground Hall from 8am till 12noon. It is run by volunteers as a non-profit community event.
Come along to buy really fresh local produce at the Nabiac Farmers Market. Locally grown organic vegies, free range eggs, local fruits, cakes, chocolates, gingerbread, olive products, honey, natural skin care, gourmet goodies, wines, sourdough bread, a variety of plants, locally made crafts, gifts for friends and family, seedlings, chooks and lots more!
